2010 To-Do List

While I don't think I'll accomplish everything on this list in 2010, I do need a place to "dump" all my ideas. So, here goes nothing...

Kitchen/Dining Area:
*~~make placemats~~ and cloth napkins
*sew curtains
*~~find/create art to hang on big wall~~
*Make family rules art like THIS
*Scour yard sales for cheap frames to frame family pics on the fridge like THIS

Laundry Room:
*~~paint it orange~~
*make art for wall
*hang permanent hooks for dance gear, library bags, and grocery bags
*~~raise or remove lower shelf~~
*~~hang "drying" bar~~
*make basket labels

Sitting Room:
*make curtains
*~~buy lamp for buffet~~
*find/make art to hang above buffet
*~~find large candlestick holders to place on either side of fire place~~

Living Room:
*Make curtains
*make throw pillows like this
*~~purchase area rug~~
*make floor pillows
*find/create/print art/pictures for walls
*possibly find black/white wall map for above desk
*paint desk black

Powder Room:
*hang shelf above toilet

Master Bedroom:
*~~paint all furniture espresso brown~~ (bought new furniture instead)
*~~find two small rugs for sides of bed~~ (bought one large one instead)
*~~make floating nightstands~~ (bought new furniture)
*make curtains
*~~replace crown molding~~
*organize closet like *this*

Master Bath:
*purchase towel holder for counter top
*make curtain for window
*make corner shelf for towels
*hang towel hooks
*create a "display" for under the window
*frame mirror
*purchase shoe racks for closet
*recaulk shower stall
*~~replace crown molding~~

Upstairs Hallway:
*hang kids' baby pictures
*make curtains
*organize closet like *this* to organize toiletries and school stuff in storage

Game Room:
*make dominoes like THIS
*make curtains
*make floor pillows
*~~replace big desk with smaller one~~ purchased a new smaller desk and removed it from the game room
*~~create art/craft area for Emma~~
*scour yardsales and Goodwill for cheap frames for framing Emma's artwork like THIS
*~~create "lego" space for Isaac~~

Logan's Room:
*curtains
*make floor pillows

Boys' Bathroom:
*paint it
*frame mirror

Isaac's Room:
*curtains
*make floor pillows

School Room:
*paint it
*curtains
*make floor pillows
*recover chair seats
*hang bulletin board above my work area
*create ABC's like this!!
*~~run cable to this room?~~
*make tote bags like this to store "quiet time" activities

Sewing Closet:
*organize
*hang peg board for tool storage
*create inspiration board
*reprint all ebook directions and bind for easier storage
*create a storage system on top of shelving like *this*

Emma's Room:
*curtains like THIS (the pink one)
*create curtain for AG doll wardrobe
*~~paint it blue~~
*create artwork (ballet-related) for walls
*~~create a place to display her arts and crafts~~
*make new bow holder to match her room
*make floor pillows
*~~hang Nutcracker plates~~
*hang white shelf above Nutcracker plates to display Nutcrackers
*cover lampshade like THIS with ribbon I have
*~~put up chair rail~~

Front Yard:
*plant flowers in beds around trees
*create a flower bed on side of house
*extend flower beds in front of house

Garage:
*CLEAN IT OUT
*create workshop area for Matt

Entryway (outside):
*purchase new rug
*find topiaries for each corner

Backyard:
*repot planters in spring
*make small veggie garden (must research)
*~~purchase trampoline~~
